From here, click on the [download] button on the right side of the page. After the download is finished, run the install program. That will bring up a screen like this: |
The installation is pretty straightforward. Just read each page and click [Next] to continue on. It shouldn't take more than a minute or so to install it. After it's done installing, click on the "Ad-Aware SE Personal" icon on your desktop. That will bring up this: |
From here you want to click on [Check for updates now]. In fact, whenever you run Ad-Aware the first thing you want to do is have it check for updates. The newer updates will be able to find more junk to clean off of your system. Once the update is done, it will come back to this same screen. Now click [Start] to have it start scanning your computer. When it's done it will show you a list of the items that it found. Make sure all of the items are checked and the remove them. That's it! You should probably run Ad-Aware every week or two just to help keep your computer clean. |
